Hotel Circus Circus opens its doors on 18 October 1968.

Hotel The Boardwalk opens 1968.

1969 Hotel Las Vegas Hilton opens 1969. Before the hotel was called "The International Hotel" and changed its name to Hilton in 1971. Elvis Presley played sold-out here 58 times (he hit the audience record in Las Vegas). When he performed here he lived in an apartment on the 30th floors. His last appearance here was 1972. On February 10, 1981 - the hotel burned and eight people died.

Hotel MGM Grand opens on December 5, 1973.

Hotel Bally´s Las Vegas opens Dec 5, 1973. The hotel has appered in the movie - Honeymoon in Vegas.





1979
Imperial Hotel opens its doors in 1979. From 1959 to 1970 it was called the hotel Flamingo Capri. 1979 it changed the name again to "Asian-Imperial Palace."

1982
Omaha came to Las Vegas. It is told to be the lady "The Dragon Lady" from Seattle and the known tournament player Robert Turner from Alabama that brought the game to Vegas. Omaha became a success at the Golden Nugget and spread rapidly in the poker rooms in Las Vegas

1986
Hotels Gold Coast Hotel opens its doors on December 21, 1986. It is located about 2 blocks west of the Strip.

1990 Hotel Excalibur opens on June 19. At one time Excalibur was the largest hotel in the world. MGM Grand was the largest in 1994.

Hotel Rio opens on January 15, 1990.

1993
Dunes hotel was shut down on January 26, 1993 and blown up on October 27, 1993. Today this is the spot for hotel Bellagio.

1993 Hotel Treasure Island opens its doors on 27 October 1993.

Hotel Stratosphere opens on April 30, 1996.

Hotel Sands is closed on June 30, 1996 and on November 26 it is blown up. Here you can see some pictures from the closing.

Hotel New York New York opens on January 3, 1997.

Hotel Mandalay Bay opens on March 2, 1999. The hotel is 39 floors high.

1999 Hotel Venetian opens on May 3, 1999.

1998
Hotel Bellagio opens on October 15, 1998.

Hotel Paris Las Vegas opens on September 1, 1999.

2006 Hotel "The Stardust" closes it´s doors on November 1, 2006. Stardust is blown up on Tuesday March 13, 2007. Hotel "The Boardwalk" closes on January 9, 2006. The hotel is blown up on May 9, 2006.

2007 Hotel "Planet Hollywood Casino and Resort" opens April 17, 2007. The hotel is best known under the previous name "The Alladin". In 2003 the hotel was sold to Planet Hollywood. And they change the name. On the same site was previously the first hotel Tally-Ho (1963), which was renamed (1964) to the Kings Crown. 1966 it changed the name again to "Alladin". Alladin closed November 25, 1997 and on April 27, 1998 the hotel is blown up except for Alladin Theatre. This would pave the way for the new hotel "The new Alladin" which opened on August 18, 2000. Unfortunately, it didn´t go so well - so the hotel was sold on June 20, 2003 to Planet Hollywood. Fun facts: A little more than a year after the first hotel opened (1963) Elvis and Priscilla married in the hotel.
